KairUs wins Outstanding Artist Award

Andreas Zingerle, media artist and also managing director of our project partner "mur.at", and his colleague Linda Kronman recently received the Austrian Outstanding Artist Award 2022. Together, Andreas and Linda form the collective KairUs.

Jury statement (extract): "Their joint work deals in an intelligent and aesthetically highly elaborate way with the current issues of data security, data ethics, activism, hacker culture and the recycling of electronic resources. They transform these very complex topics in a sophisticated way into media installations and media presentations in order to bring visitors closer to these highly virulent issues."

Our warmest congratulations!

CESNET wins Czech Head Award in the Industry category

In December 2022, CESNET received the Czech Head Award, the country's highest scientific acknowledgement. The Industry award is given for the best company innovation. The award-winning device, called MVTP (Modular Video Transmission Platform), enables direct remote collaboration in areas that are critical in terms of communication latency, such as live culture. It was created by the CESNET Networking Application Technologies department, headed by Sven Ubik.

We have already enjoyed working with Sven Ubik and his team on several productions and congratulate them warmly on this well-deserved recognition of their creativity and commitment!

Maria Isabel Gandía Carriedo awarded

We are delighted to announce that the 2021 GÉANT Community Award goes to Maria Isabel Gandía Carriedo from CSUC.

She is a great promoter of scientific networks, an important enabler of performing arts over advanced networks, and the best partner you could wish for to realize multi-site performances. Congratulations!
